Starting Wednesday, March 18th, LAUSD will be opening Grab and Go Food Centers to distribute free meals to students. Learn more and find the center nearest you here: https://achieve.lausd.net/resources
 
The closest Grab and Go Food Center to Hawkins HS is John Muir Middle School located 5929 S. Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, CA .  The center is open from 8 to 11 am and will provide two meals per student.

LAUSD Mental Health Support/Apoyo del Distrito para la Salud Mental
 
The Los Angeles Unified School District opened a phone hotline where students and families can call for help to manage fear, anxiety and other challenges related to COVID-19.
 
The phone hotline – 213-443-1300– will be open 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, staffed by counselors and mental health professionals to provide support in both English and Spanish. 
 
Questions can also be sent to mentalhealth@lausd.net.
 
El Distrito Unificado de Los Angeles abrió una línea telefónica directa donde los estudiantes y las familias pueden pedir ayuda para manejar el miedo, la ansiedad y otros desafíos relacionados con COVID-19.
 
La línea telefónica directa, 213-443-1300, estará abierta de 6 a.m. a 6 p.m. los días de semana, con personal de consejeros y profesionales de salud mental para brindar apoyo en inglés y español.
