Ms. Sevilla has worked in public education for 14 years. She began her teaching career in Compton Unified School District at the high school she attended, Dominguez High School, and taught English there for four years. She then worked at Locke High School in Watts for four years before moving to New York City to pursue a degree at Teachers College, Columbia University. During her time in NYC she worked as a public school teacher for the New York City Department of Education. She recently returned to Los Angeles and is currently working as a School Improvement Grant Coordinator, in this position she is in charge of ensuring that the School Improvement Grant is implemented as planned and that C:\DAGS meets all compliance expectations. Ms. Sevilla enjoys watching The Walking Dead on Sunday nights with her daughter, crying on Tuesday nights with This Is Us and binge watching Netflix series.
